It is amazing how quickly they are growing up, talking and walking, listening to stories…:

Guatemala City — July

After so many years, we made it back to Guatemala! We see so many changes in the City. For example, overcrowded, rickety busses that chugged diesel smoke are now customized to the hilt – almost like they are in competition with each other.

The venue for the horse show was very elegant. Here, Heidi is conducting the “jog” – an inspection of all the horses prior to the start of competition.

Monterrey (Mexico) & Costa Rica — November

We flew to Monterrey, Mexico – the Second largest city in Mexico – and stayed in a beautiful, very modern part of the City (San Pedro district). On the first full day, a tour guide took us all around the City. The food there was always excellent!
Heidi judged two days at “La Forteleza” near the town of Montemorelos.

We flew out of Mexico and landed in San José, Costa Rica. Before the horse show began, we toured Costa Rica for five days using a rented car. The traffic there is horrendous (no es bueno!) We drove to/from Monteverde Cloud Forest. Travel time (not distance) was so bad, we decided to spend two days at Quepos Beach.

We stayed in (fairly) nice place with beach access. What a beautiful Pacific sunset we saw that night! Next day, we toured Manuel Antonio National Park. We never got to a volcano.

Heidi judged three days at a Club in Santa Ana. For our final half day, we toured the Santa Ana and San José.
